Colonel Cameron is back!

On Friday 16th August 2024, after suspending its meetings for almost three years, our oldest encampment, No 5 Col. Cameron opened its doors for business once again.

Having last met in September 2021, with falling numbers and waning interest, No 5 has been given a new lease of life by moving to the Teesside District under the command of AKC Clive Warham OM.  

There were only nine comrades present when the camp was formally opened last night at the Coronation Inn, Acklam, Middlesbrough.  But with a full agenda and decisions to be made, they all rallied to the cause.  Members were tasked to investigate venues in Hartlepool, No 5's original home and others to form a Management Board to guide the camp on to new-found victories.  Officers were posted to their duties and the business of the camp was transacted before close of play.  

The next meeting is planned for Friday 15 Nov 24, at the Coronation Inn, Acklam and all members of the GUOKGH are asked to "Unite" under the banner of No. 5.  "Pro Rege et Patria"
